Johnny Olszewski (John Peter Olszewski) was born on December 21, 1930 in Washington, District Of Columbia. After going to high school at St. Anthony's (Long Beach, CA), Olszewski attended Univeristy of California. Olszewski made his professional debut in the NFL in 1953 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played in the NFL for 9 years, playing for the Chicago Cardinals, Washington Redskins and Detroit Lions over the course of his 9 year NFL career.Olszewski also played in the AFL for 1 year, playing for the Denver Broncos the entire time.

Most people believe that 1956 was Johnny Olszewski's best year, as he ran for 598 yards.
