Johnny O'Quinn (John William O'Quinn) was born on September 7, 1925 in Bluett Falls, North Carolina. After going to high school at Asheboro (NC), O'Quinn attended Wake Forest University. O'Quinn made his professional debut in the NFL in 1950 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Bears over the course of his 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1950 was Johnny O'Quinn's best year, as he picked off 3 passes and ran back an interception for a touchdown.
