Born on October 22, 1895 in Pellville, Kentucky, Johnny Morrison (John Dewey Morrison) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Brooklyn Robins over the course of his 10 year career. Morrison broke into the bigs on September 28, 1920 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and put up a 2.88 ERA in 144 innings pitched in 1921, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Johnny Morrison's best season was 1923, when he posted a 3.49 ERA, won 25 games and struck out 114 batters.
