Born on December 11, 1927 in West Palm Beach, Florida, Johnny Gray (John Leonard Gray) played for the Philadelphia Athletics, Kansas City Athletics, Cleveland Indians and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 4 year career. Gray broke into the bigs on July 18, 1954 with the Philadelphia Athletics, and put up a 6.51 ERA in 105 innings pitched in 1954, his rookie year.
