Johnny Gill (John Wesley Gill) was born on March 27, 1905 in Nashville, Tennessee. He made his Major League debut on August 28, 1927 for the Cleveland Indians. In 1936, his rookie year, he hit .253 with 7 home runs and 28 RBI. Gill played for the Cleveland Indians, Washington Senators and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 4 year career.
