Born on December 7, 1915 in Syracuse, New York, Johnny Gee (John Alexander Gee) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates and New York Giants over the course of his 6 year career. Gee broke into the bigs on September 17, 1939 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and put up a 4.28 ERA in 82 innings pitched in 1943, his rookie year.
