Johnny Evans (John Albert Evans) was born on February 18, 1956 in High Point, North Carolina. After going to high school at H.P. Andrews (High Point, NC), Evans attended North Carolina State University. Evans made his professional debut in the NFL in 1978 with the Cleveland Browns. He played for the Cleveland Browns for his entire 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1978 was Johnny Evans's best year, as he dropped 16 punts inside the 20.
