Johnny Burnett (John Henderson Burnett) was born on November 1, 1904 in Bartow, Florida. He made his Major League debut on May 7, 1927 for the Cleveland Indians. In 1930, his rookie year, he hit .312 with 0 home runs and 20 RBI. Burnett played for the Cleveland Indians and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that Johnny Burnett's best season was 1932, when he hit for a .297 average and knocked in 53 runs.
