Johnny Blatnik

Johnny Blatnik (John Louis Blatnik) was born on March 10, 1921 in Bridgeport, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on April 21, 1948 for the Philadelphia Phillies. In 1948, his rookie year, he hit .260 with 6 home runs and 45 RBI. Blatnik played for the Philadelphia Phillies and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 3 year career.
