Johnny Barrett (John Joseph Barrett) was born on December 18, 1915 in Lowell, Massachusetts. He made his Major League debut on April 14, 1942 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1942, his rookie year, he hit .247 with 0 home runs and 26 RBI. Barrett played for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Boston Braves over the course of his 5 year career.
Most people believe that Johnny Barrett's best season was 1944, when he stole 28 bases and knocked in 83 runs.
