Johnnie Heving (John Aloysius Heving) was born on April 29, 1896 in Covington, Kentucky. He made his Major League debut on September 24, 1920 for the Boston Red Sox. In 1928, his rookie year, he hit .259 with 0 home runs and 11 RBI. Heving played for the Boston Red Sox and Philadelphia Athletics over the course of his 7 year career.
Most people believe that Johnnie Heving's best season was 1929, when he hit for a .319 average.
