Johnnie Dirden (Johnnie Dirden) was born on March 14, 1952 in Houston, Texas. After going to high school at S.F. Austin (Houston, TX), Dirden attended Houston Community College and Sam Houston State University. Dirden made his professional debut in the NFL in 1978 with the Houston Oilers. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Oilers over the course of his 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1978 was Johnnie Dirden's best year, as he had 780 kick return yards.
