Born on April 19, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois, John Wyatt (John Thomas Wyatt) played for the Kansas City Athletics, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Detroit Tigers and Oakland Athletics over the course of his 9 year career. Wyatt broke into the bigs on September 8, 1961 with the Kansas City Athletics, and put up a 4.46 ERA in 125 innings pitched in 1962, his rookie year.

Most people believe that John Wyatt's best season was 1967, when he posted a 2.60 ERA, won 10 games, notched 20 saves and struck out 68 batters.
