John Wilbur (John Leonard Wilbur) was born on May 21, 1943 in San Diego, California. After going to high school at Hamilton (Los Angeles, CA), Wilbur attended Stanford University. Wilbur made his professional debut in the NFL in 1966 with the Dallas Cowboys. He played for the Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins and Los Angeles Rams over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that 1968 was John Wilbur's best year.
