John Swain (John Wesley Swain) was born on September 4, 1959 in Miami, Florida. After going to high school at Carol City (Miami, FL), Swain attended the University of Miami. Swain made his professional debut in the NFL in 1981 with the Minnesota Vikings. He played for the Minnesota Vikings, Pittsburgh Steelers and Miami Dolphins over the course of his 7 year career.

Most people believe that 1983 was John Swain's best year, as he picked off 6 passes.
