John Sutro (John Robert Sutro) was born on May 8, 1940. After going to high school at Harry Ellis (Richmond, CA), Sutro attended San Jose State University. Sutro made his professional debut in the NFL in 1962 with the San Francisco 49ers. He played for the San Francisco 49ers for his entire 1 year career.
