John Spagnola (John Stephen Spagnola) was born on August 1, 1957 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Catholic (Bethlehem, PA), Spagnola attended Yale University. Spagnola made his professional debut in the NFL in 1979 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles, Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks over the course of his 10 year career.

Most people believe that 1985 was John Spagnola's best year, as he hauled in 64 receptions, had 772 receiving yards and caught 5 TD passes.
