John Shelburne (John Andrew Shelburne) was born on September 26, 1894 in Boston, Massachusetts. After going to high school at Colby Academy (Colby, NH) and English (Boston, MA), Shelburne attended Dartmouth College. Shelburne made his professional debut in the NFL in 1922 with the Hammond Pros. He played for the Hammond Pros for his entire 1 year career.
