John Scafide (John Andrew Scafide) was born on June 21, 1911 in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. After going to high school at St. Stanislaus Bay (Bay St. Louis, MS), Scafide attended Tulane University. Scafide made his professional debut in the NFL in 1933 with the Boston Redskins. He played for the Boston Redskins for his entire 1 year career.
