John Roseboro (John Junior Roseboro) was born on May 13, 1933 in Ashland, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on June 14, 1957 for the Brooklyn Dodgers. In 1958, his rookie year, he hit .271 with 14 home runs and 43 RBI. Roseboro played for the Brooklyn Dodgers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Minnesota Twins and Washington Senators over the course of his 14 year career.

Most people believe that John Roseboro's best season was 1961, when he slugged 18 home runs and knocked in 59 runs.
