John Romano (John Anthony Romano) was born on August 23, 1934 in Hoboken, New Jersey. He made his Major League debut on September 12, 1958 for the Chicago White Sox. In 1960, his rookie year, he hit .272 with 16 home runs and 52 RBI. Romano played for the Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Indians and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 10 year career.

Most people believe that John Romano's best season was 1961, when he slugged 21 home runs, hit for a .299 average and knocked in 80 runs.
