John Richardson (John Howard Richardson) was born on May 25, 1945 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After going to high school at Kearny (San Diego, CA), Richardson attended the University of California - Los Angeles. Richardson made his professional debut in the AFL in 1967 with the Miami Dolphins. He played in the AFL for 3 years, playing for the Miami Dolphins the entire time. Richardson also played in the NFL for 4 years, playing for the St. Louis Cardinals and Miami Dolphins over the course of his 4 year NFL career.

Most people believe that 1967 was John Richardson's best year.
