Born on April 21, 1887 in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, John Raleigh (John Austin Raleigh) played for the St. Louis Cardinals for his entire 2 year career. Raleigh broke into the bigs on August 4, 1909 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and put up a 3.79 ERA in 80.2 innings pitched in 1909, his rookie year.
