John was a very prolific goal scorer for Arsenal F.C. in fact he ranks 4th on the all time goal scorers list for the club with a total of 149 goals. He is also Arsenal's youngest ever hat trick scorer when he notched three goals versus Wolves on January 2, 1965 aged 17 years and 315 days.
