John Prchlik (John George Prchlik) was born on July 20, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio. After going to high school at West Tech (Cleveland, OH), Prchlik attended Yale University. Prchlik made his professional debut in the NFL in 1949 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 5 year career.

Most people believe that 1949 was John Prchlik's best year.
