John Petchel (John Petchel) was born on May 27, 1919 in Freeland, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Freeland (PA), Petchel attended Duquesne University. Petchel made his professional debut in the NFL in 1942 with the Cleveland Rams. He played for the Cleveland Rams and Pittsburgh Steelers over the course of his 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1944 was John Petchel's best year.
