Born on September 15, 1956 in Brooklyn, New York, John Pacella (John Lewis Pacella) played for the New York Mets, New York Yankees, Minnesota Twins, Baltimore Orioles and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 6 year career. Pacella broke into the bigs on September 15, 1977 with the New York Mets, and put up a 5.14 ERA in 84 innings pitched in 1980, his rookie year.
