John O'Rourke

John O'Rourke (John W. O'Rourke) was born on August 23, 1849 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He made his Major League debut on May 1, 1879 for the Boston Red Caps. In 1879, his rookie year, he hit .341 with 6 home runs and 62 RBI. O'Rourke played for the Boston Red Caps and New York Metropolitans over the course of his 3 year career.
