John North (John Puckett North) was born on June 17, 1921 in Gilliam, Louisiana. After going to high school at Castle Heights Military Academy (Castle Heights, TN), North attended Vanderbilt Universtiy. North made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1948 with the Baltimore Colts. He played in the AAFC for 2 years, playing for the Baltimore Colts the entire time. North also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Baltimore Colts the entire time.
Most people believe that 1949 was John North's best year, as he caught 4 TD passes.
