John Neidert (John Thomas Neidert) was born on June 18, 1946 in Akron, Ohio. After going to high school at Archbishop Hoban (Akron, OH), Neidert attended the University of Louisville. Neidert made his professional debut in the AFL in 1968 with the New York Jets. He played in the AFL for 2 years, playing for the New York Jets the entire time. Neidert also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Chicago Bears the entire time.

Most people believe that 1969 was John Neidert's best year.
