John Morton (John Jay Morton) was born on September 1, 1929 in Compton, California. After going to high school at Compton (CA), Morton attended Compton CC and Texas Christian University. Morton made his professional debut in the NFL in 1953 with the San Francisco 49ers. He played for the San Francisco 49ers for his entire 1 year career.
