Born on August 11, 1965 in Dickson, Tennessee, John Mitchell (John Kyle Mitchell) played for the New York Mets and Baltimore Orioles over the course of his 5 year career. Mitchell broke into the bigs on September 8, 1986 with the New York Mets, and put up a 4.11 ERA in 111.2 innings pitched in 1987, his rookie year.
