John Milner (John David Milner) was born on December 28, 1949 in Atlanta, Georgia. He made his Major League debut on September 15, 1971 for the New York Mets. In 1972, his rookie year, he hit .238 with 17 home runs and 38 RBI. Milner played for the New York Mets, Pittsburgh Pirates and Montreal Expos over the course of his 12 year career.

Most people believe that John Milner's best season was 1974, when he slugged 20 home runs and knocked in 63 runs.
