John Mcdowell (John Bernard McDowell) was born on February 12, 1942 in St. Paul, Minnesota. After going to high school at St. Thomas Academy (St. Paul, MN), Mcdowell attended St. John's (Minnesota). Mcdowell made his professional debut in the NFL in 1964 with the Green Bay Packers. He played for the St. Louis Cardinals, New York Giants and Green Bay Packers over the course of his 3 year career.

Most people believe that 1964 was John Mcdowell's best year.
