John Matlock (John James Matlock) was born on October 19, 1944 in Louisville, Kentucky. After going to high school at St. Edward (Cleveland, OH), Matlock attended the University of Miami. Matlock made his professional debut in the AFL in 1967 with the New York Jets. He played in the AFL for 2 years, playing for the Cincinnati Bengals and New York Jets over the course of his 2 year AFL career.Matlock also played in the NFL for 3 years, playing for the Atlanta Falcons and Buffalo Bills over the course of his 3 year NFL career.
Most people believe that 1970 was John Matlock's best year.
