Born on July 8, 1889 in New Orleans, Louisiana, John Martina (John Joseph Martina) played for the Washington Senators for his entire 1 year career. Martina broke into the bigs on April 19, 1924 with the Washington Senators, and put up a 4.67 ERA in 125.1 innings pitched in 1924, his rookie year.
