John Mackorell (John Campbell Mackorell) was born on November 3, 1912 in York. SC. After going to high school at Hickory (NC), Mackorell attended Davidson College. Mackorell made his professional debut in the NFL in 1935 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants for his entire 1 year career.
