Born on October 29, 1923 in Orange, New Jersey, John Mackinson (John Joseph Mackinson) played for the Philadelphia Athletics and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 2 year career. Mackinson broke into the bigs on April 16, 1953 with the Philadelphia Athletics.
