John Knight (John Wesley Knight) was born on October 6, 1885 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on April 14, 1905 for the Philadelphia Athletics. In 1905, his rookie year, he hit .203 with 3 home runs and 29 RBI. Knight played for the Philadelphia Athletics, Boston Americans, New York Highlanders, Washington Senators and New York Yankees over the course of his 8 year career.

Most people believe that John Knight's best season was 1911, when he knocked in 62 runs.
