John Kerr (John Francis Kerr) was born on November 26, 1898 in San Francisco, California. He made his Major League debut on May 1, 1923 for the Detroit Tigers. In 1929, his rookie year, he hit .258 with 1 home run and 39 RBI. Kerr played for the Detroit Tigers, Chicago White Sox and Washington Senators over the course of his 8 year career.
Most people believe that John Kerr's best season was 1931, when he knocked in 50 runs.
