Born on July 15, 1909 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, John Jackson (John Lewis Jackson) played for the Philadelphia Phillies for his entire 1 year career. Jackson broke into the bigs on June 20, 1933 with the Philadelphia Phillies, and put up a 6.00 ERA in 54 innings pitched in 1933, his rookie year.
