Born on August 8, 1966 in Tampa, Florida, John Hudek (John Raymond Hudek) played for the Houston Astros, New York Mets, Cincinnati Reds, Toronto Blue Jays and Atlanta Braves over the course of his 6 year career. Hudek broke into the bigs on April 23, 1994 with the Houston Astros, and put up a 3.09 ERA in 64 innings pitched in 1998, his rookie year.

Most people believe that John Hudek's best season was 1998, when he posted a 3.09 ERA and struck out 68 batters.
