John Hollar (John Henry Hollar) was born on August 7, 1922 in Boone, North Carolina. After going to high school at Boone (NC), Hollar attended Appalachian State University. Hollar made his professional debut in the NFL in 1948 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins for his entire 2 year career.
Most people believe that 1949 was John Hollar's best year.
