John Harrington (John Patrick Harrington) was born on April 15, 1921 in Reedsburg, Wisconsin. After going to high school at Reedsburg (WI), Harrington attended Marquette University. Harrington made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1946 with the Cleveland Browns. He played for the Chicago Rockets and Cleveland Browns over the course of his 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1947 was John Harrington's best year.
