Born on December 18, 1860 in New York, New York, John Hamill (John Alexander Charles Hamill) played for the Washington Nationals for his entire 1 year career. Hamill broke into the bigs on May 1, 1884 with the Washington Nationals, and put up a 4.48 ERA in 156.2 innings pitched in 1884, his rookie year.
