Born on January 29, 1964 in Bay Shore, New York, John Habyan (John Gabriel Habyan) played for the Baltimore Orioles, New York Yankees, Kansas City Royals, St. Louis Cardinals, California Angels and Colorado Rockies over the course of his 11 year career. Habyan broke into the bigs on September 29, 1985 with the Baltimore Orioles, and put up a 4.80 ERA in 116.1 innings pitched in 1987, his rookie year.

Most people believe that John Habyan's best season was 1991, when he posted a 2.30 ERA and struck out 70 batters.
