John Gordy (John T. Gordy) was born on July 17, 1935 in Nashville, Tennessee. After going to high school at Isaac Litton (Nashville, TN), Gordy attended the University of Tennessee. Gordy made his professional debut in the NFL in 1957 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 10 year career.
