John Goldsberry (John Gerard Goldsberry) was born on November 22, 1926 in Indianapolis, Indiana. After going to high school at South Bend (IN), Goldsberry attended Indiana University. Goldsberry made his professional debut in the NFL in 1949 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the Chicago Cardinals for his entire 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1949 was John Goldsberry's best year.
