Buck Freeman (John Frank Freeman) was born on October 30, 1871 in Catasauqua, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on June 27, 1891 for the Washington Senators. In 1899, his rookie year, he hit .318 with 25 home runs and 122 RBI. Freeman played for the Washington Senators, Boston Beaneaters and Boston Americans over the course of his 11 year career.

Most people believe that Buck Freeman's best season was 1899, when he slugged 25 home runs, hit for a .318 average and knocked in 122 runs.
