John Kane (John Francis Kane) was born on September 24, 1882 in Chicago, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on April 11, 1907 for the Cincinnati Reds. In 1907, his rookie year, he hit .248 with 3 home runs and 19 RBI. Kane played for the Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 4 year career.
Most people believe that John Kane's best season was 1908, when he stole 30 bases.
